Yo Enemy of Debt- I gotcha on the mutual funds. Although mine don't earn 18% they are pretty solid. My Roth consists of three different mutual funds with vanguard. A large/mid cap, small cap, and international fund baby.

p.s. I still am kind of worried about who will win American Idol :)

Very excellent goals dude! Don't listen to the naysayers, and keep plugging away! 11% isn't dreaming if you consider that the market always rebounds every time. Investing is long term and a lot of people do not get that. Things are down now but they will return!!

But as far as you being able to invest in a Roth until you are 65, that is questionable, only because I think that you will not qualify to invest in a Roth eventually and surely way before then. With your youth and extreme amount of discipline on your side, your income will shoot up fast!! You should research mutual funds cuz you can find companies with with up to 18% track records. They are harder to find but they are out there. It's great to see some one your age worried more about their future rather than who is going to win American Idol!
